Program Description:
NPSNEO member and Naturalist Fred Losi leads us to a recently discovered natural area owned by the Captina Conservancy in Belmont County. Rattlesnake plantain and cranefly orchid in an old growth woods will be our goal for the day.

We will meet at a location near Piedmont Marina to carpool. From Rock River we’ll head to Raven Rocks, finishing up with a complementary picnic at our meeting location. Pack lunch and water for the trail.

An optional Sunday trip to other natural areas in the county if you’d like to stay overnight at the Piedmont Marina Campground. Campground reservation is on your own.

Directions:
Carpool meeting location will be emailed to registered participants.
Carpool meeting time is 9:00 am.
Carpool departure time is 9:30 am.
