History
In honor of our 30th Anniversary in 2012, we published a short history of the Ohio Native Plant Society and the Northeastern Chapter. Copies of our 30th Anniversary Booklet were given to those who attended our society's Anniversary Picnic on 29 September 2012.In honor of our 40th Anniversary in 2022, we revised the 30th Anniversary Booklet and published a 40th Anniversary Booklet. Copies of our 40th Anniversary Booklet were given to those who attended our society's Anniversary Picnic on 24 September 2022.

Goals of our Society
- promote conservation of native plants and native plant communities through habitat protection and other means;
- foster public knowledge and appreciation of native plants;
- support proper methods of natural landscaping;
- raise awareness of the ethical issues regarding native plants;
- encourage surveys and research into native plant species and publication of findings; and
- promote cooperation with other programs and organizations concerned with the conservation of natural resources.
