Jim Bissell, Curator of Botany at Cleveland Museum of Natural History, leads this joint trip with NEON to the recently purchased preserve on the Upper East Branch of the Cuyahoga River. The river flows through an outstanding old forest dominated by hemlock, beech, sugar maple, basswood, and black cherry. The slopes and wetlands upstream from the gorge are covered with Canada yew. Hobble bush is also present.
