Portage Park District Bioblitz at Breakneck Creek Preserve
Registration is required for this program.
Breakneck Creek Preserve is not yet open to the public as a park. The 66-acre preserve is an old farmstead with Breakneck Creek meandering through its northern border along with the historic P&O Canal and B&O Railroad remnants. The conserved wetlands and woods of the preserve help to protect the Breakneck Creek watershed, which provides drinking water for tens of thousands of people.
The Bioblitz will begin at 8:00 am.
